Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, director, and singer, is also an accomplished actor. As an intelligent and attractive actress, she serves as a role model to several Asian actors working in Hollywood that want to be successful. In the wake of a number of first appearances in some popular series she gained fame when she joined the cast of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. Her new-found fame was translated into roles for the big screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. The actress then gave an amazing performance in the role of Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. Around this same time, she also starred in box-office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter.
